AFarCloud

Projects overview

A European collaborative programme bringing cloud-enabled systems into connected agricultural environments.

Scope

AFarCloud, Aggregate Farming in the Cloud, was a Horizon 2020 ECSEL research and innovation action that developed a distributed platform for real-time cooperation among agricultural cyber-physical systems.

Objective

The programme connected field sensors, farm-management software, cloud services, decision tools, and heterogeneous autonomous vehicles through a shared cloud-enabled platform.

My contribution

I participated as a member of the University of Sannio team from September 2018 to August 2021 under the supervision of Professor Luigi Glielmo.

Project record

The platform was evaluated through three holistic demonstrators and eight local demonstrators across Europe.
